Frequently Asked Questions
How much does medical weight loss cost?
The initial consult with one of our board-certified Nurse Practitioners is $50. This consult includes a comprehensive medical exam. From there, the two of you will decide which plan suits you best. Plans are $100 per month to maintain, which includes a review of your lab work, weigh-in with full body composition, specialized diet and exercise plans, and medication refills. Medications are extra depending on the medication you choose.
Do you accept insurance?
We are a cash-based business. Most of the medications we are prescribing are not covered by insurance currently. We however, accept Care Credit for financing.
I take vitamins; why would I benefit from B12 injections?
We absorb only a small fraction of orally ingested vitamins. Larger doses of vitamins and minerals can irritate the gut and cause unpleasant side effects. Furthermore, many people have an unhealthy digestive tract that cannot properly absorb nutrients from food or supplements. Our food supply is increasingly void of nutrients. Our environment is increasingly more toxic to our body, causing illness and stress, which requires help from infused nutrients to detoxify and recover. Lifestyle stress further depletes our building blocks. IM injection is an effective and efficient means to restore these deficiencies.
Will a provider evaluate me prior to my treatments?
After booking your appointments, you will be asked to fill out a medical history and consent forms in an email. You will be asked a series of medical questions that include your medical history. Our board-certified Nurse Practitioners will review this before your arrival and again with you during your visit. One of our nurse practitioners will monitor you throughout your entire treatment.
Do I need bloodwork prior to starting therapy?
If you have recent bloodwork from an outside physician’s office, please bring it with you for one of our nurse practitioners to review. However, specialized tests may be necessary to start your treatment. This will be up to the nurse practitioner during your medical exam. If it is determined you need bloodwork, she will send you to an outside lab to have this drawn.
